IS IT POSSIBLE TO REMAIN CHASTE?

IFAMILY TO BEGIN A CHASTITY CAMPAIGN

WHO CAN THE YOUTH COUNT ON?

Is pre-marital sex among the youth in our society on the increase? How well informed are the youth about the risks involved, given that most young people shy away from getting into a supermarket or a chemist to buy some form of protection? Can someone stand up and lead by example?

Family Media is boldly stepping out on a chastity campaign to sensitize the youth on the importance of sexual purity. The campaign is meant to bring people together to address the HIV & AIDS problem as well as spread the message of biblical purity to schools, youth groups and any other suitable forums.

This campaign seeks to get the attention of young people and provide them with a platform where they can freely discuss sexual matters such as pre-marital sex and unprotected sex among other subjects that most parents find difficult to discuss with their children. The exercise will involve Family Media's Ambassadors – young people that resonate with and can command the attention of the youth.

According to Rebecca Wangari, Family Media's Events Organiser, only a wholehearted commitment to sexual purity by our youth can prevent a headlong plunge into social catastrophe. The evil influence of a casual attitude toward sex and relationships is evident even in the church today. One can easily reason that if everyone is doing it and no judgment has fallen on them, maybe biblical standards no longer apply. For this reason, young people should be well informed in matters regarding sex and also helped to clearly understand what God expects of them as individuals. This will be just the right campaign!

No doubt this is a timely campaign, one that can change the destiny of our youth and our nation. Let us all embrace it, run with it and make it a success. Keep it Family for the latest updates.

Remember what the Bible tells the young people: “Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart” ( 2Timothy 2:22).
