CORRUPTION

DO YOU PLAY A ROLE?

corruptio

According to a recent report by the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission 80% of Kenyans are corrupt shockingly the same percentage makes the Christian fraternity in Kenya. I pose this question to you: Have you ever at one time given a bribe as a Christian or have you ever condemned the vice?
The word corruption has been like a song on everyone’s mouth. Not leaving out the media which is quiet playing a big role in unveiling some crucial information on the same. The main aim why I though it was important to highlight a little bit on this issue that is affecting us in one way or another ,is because I was looking for some information on corruption reports and www.corruptioninkenya.com blog page caught my eyes.

The statement below got me thinking about so many issues that the country is going through just because of corruption but it seems like it makes no sense to us Kenyans for we only think that corruption is just inform of money only handed to officers in public institutions.

“Corruption in the water sector makes implementation of economic plans impossible resulting in poverty and diseases due to illegal connection of poor quality pipes in most of the slum areas,” Nairobi and it’s environs is experiencing an acute water shortage and we are all busy blaming the people at the Mau forest while we truly know that “YOU AND I” are the main culprits of this vice by not taking any action.
Most of us when caught on the wrong side of the law for instance it is always so tempting to give “kitu kidogo” something small obviously in form of money. This is how we encourage the person receiving the bribes to ask for it more in order to gain our freedom after all who wants to spend a day or night behind bars especially in our cells?
The site has plenty of information on so many cases of corruption plus Kenyans giving their real life experiences.  Corruption has left many people suffering looking back during the post election violence so many were left homeless, jobless and millions of properties destroyed. This is just but a few of the problems caused by this vice.
I would like to encourage you to visit the site www.corruptioninkenya.com  and give your views on a Christian perspective as well as learn more of what our fellow Kenyans are going through. You will be glad to discover what I discovered and for sure you will support in fighting corruption.
