The long awaited dream trip to the Holy Land of Israel finally came to pass last Friday when a group of 47 people proudly left Kenya for Israel courtesy Family Media. We were overwhelmed by the number of people who made last minute bookings but sadly it was too late for them to join the group that had already met its deadline. Don’t feel sorry for missing the trip- Family Media will make you feel like you are actually there by bringing you live updates every day on Radio 316. Our crew caught up with the group at the airport before departure time and excitement was written all over their faces thanks to Family media who made their dreams come true. Some had very interesting stories on how they managed to pay the $ 1800 because they so badly wanted to make it a reality. We managed to talk to some people who included Mrs. Elizabeth Mathenge one of the Family Media partners who was truly overwhelmed.
“When I first saw the advert about the dream trip to the Holy Land, I told God that He knows where the money will come from but no matter what I had to raise the expected amount. I kept calling the Family station just to confirm that my seat is still reserved. I am so grateful to God for I know this trip is not just for fun but will make a difference in my spiritual life .May God bless Family Media and long live Family. For those who missed all I can say is sorry there’s always a next time and God’s time is the best. I actually can’t wait to see all what we read on the Bible” says Elizabeth.
It was amazing to see that all the people we managed to talk to were so eager to lay their feet on the Holy land and most of them had different expectations. We at Family Media are grateful to God for making it a success all we can pray for is a safe stay as they explore most of the cities in that land and so many other surprises.
