There are situations in life which may seem inescapable and hopeless. These are the times that our faith in God matters the most, and determines our ability to get through difficulties. We must trust that God is with us even when we do not understand the reasons we are going through hardships.
God Changes People is a show that highlights the redemptive power of God, which delivers us through the trials in our lives. Each week, individuals give their personal testimonies about situations in their lives in which they had no hope. It is through the hardest periods that they saw the hand of God change them for the better, and shower them with blessings. God also calls us to change our lifestyles and obey Him. He delivers us from sin, which prevents us from being in harmony with Him.
Examples are given in the Bible of lives that God changed for the better:
Saul was a persecutor of Christians, who had a part to play in the murder of Stephen, a disciple of Christ. He was traveling to Damascus, where he planned to persecute more Christians, when he was confronted by Jesus. After this, Saul followed Jesus’ instructions to change, and became Apostle Paul; a key figure in the evangelization of the Gentiles. (Acts 9:1-31)
Zacchaeus was a tax collector, who was wealthy from collecting more money than he was required to. When Jesus passed nearby, he climbed a tree to see him. This resulted in Jesus visiting his home and Zacchaeus changing his ways, repaying those he had stolen from, and giving to the poor. Jesus declared that salvation had come to that house. (Luke 19:1-10)
God changes millions of lives every day, and these testimonies make an impact on several other lives. He continuously calls us to change our minds to be in accordance with Him. Romans 12:2- “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
