How does it feel to be a mother, a father, an aunty, an uncle etc? It is a feeling many of us cannot explain when that bundle of joy comes. To some it is the begging of hardship and confusion, especially in the current economy. Some opt to kill the unborn baby, others dump the baby after birth while others may decide to take it to a children's home. The Bible says in Matthew 10:42: “And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold wate r in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward”
Family media proudly sponsored a noble event organized by PCEA St. Andrew's church that was meant to raise fundS for needy children. The Golf tournament which took place last Friday at the Muthaiga Golf Club saw over 350 golfers take part in the event. The golfers came together to enjoy their favourite sport as they raised fundS for a noble course. The proceeds of the tournament went to various St. Andrew's charity projects namely, Tumaini Children's Home in Ngong, Hawa Children's Home in Kitengela and Mashuru Outreach development project in Kajiado.
As a way of giving back to the community and doing what Jesus would have done if He were still around, Family Media stepped in to give the event a push by offering media sponsorship. The tourney was a resounding success and we thank God for making it happen. No doubt this initiative will change some children's lives by providing a place they can call home as well as boost some projects in Mashuru, Kajiado that have created employment for many women in the area. Family Media in conjunction with PCEA St. Andrew's Church and other sponsors did put a smile on many children's faces.
Family Media is not only committed to giving people hope, but is also working to empower them to lead better lives. The tournament saw JANE MUGO scoop the St. Andrew's Golf Tournament Cup. The event will be held annually.
