SIT BACK, RELAX AND ENJOY
SUITABLE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
God created us all in a unique way with different abilities, behaviors etc. He created us like that to give us a sense of character, a feeling of not being like everyone else. Think about it, what the world would be like if we were all the same – with the same mindset, skin color, and everything else. This world would be very boring. We're meant to be who we are, and not to be what everyone else wants us to be.
Radio 316 has offered a platform for people around and in the Diaspora to freely reflect on their real lives and “unmask” by being real on whatever matter or life situation they are going through. We know that life is not a bed of roses and that's why we have been giving our listeners hope through our different programming.
Many of us dread mornings; maybe because we don't feel like going to work to face our brutal bosses, bossy colleagues or due to lack of money or other stressing life issues which are sometimes personal and beyond our control. When we cannot trust anyone with our personal issues we end up keeping them to ourselves, resulting in frustration and stress that may take toll on our health or self-esteem.
On JAM 316, Mike-on-the-Mic provides a forum where listeners can share their joy and pains anonymously without fear of shame or stigmatization thus allowing them to be real and, if they feel like, to cry as much as they want. Radio 316 offers you a shoulder to cry on as we cry and rejoice with you. Giving other listeners a chance to contribute often lightens the burden as they share their stories. This comes as an indicator that no matter what we go through our God is still on the throne – never late, always comes at the right time.
“As a matter of life by accepting and understanding the fact people are different, and therefore need to be treated differently, is integral to the success of building any relationship. Whether you are a senior vice president, manager, supervisor, or an employee, the key to building successful relationships depends on your ability to identify the differences in people and treat them accordingly.
These are words from one of the listeners that have helped many of us live with people better.
