WE TOO CARE ABOUT OUR SOCIETY

When God made heaven and earth He was proud of what He had done. "God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning-the sixth day" (Gen 1:31).He made man and woman to take care of all He had created on earth. In our last weeks' Newsletter we highlighted some issues in regard to the environment and it is encouraging to see that at least some of us realize that some of the things we do actually harm our environment that our heavenly father left under our care – if the feed back we got is anything to go by.

Family Media clearly understands that it is important to do things that Jesus would have done if He was still on earth. Living a life like that of Jesus and doing things that He would still be doing if He was still around on earth. Sometime back we carried out a tree planting project- we all had fun right? And the fact that we were continuing with the work of God was really encouraging and the turn up was just so amazing.

Late last year Family Media through our partners and friends touched, transformed lives and gave hope to many prisons and hospitals in almost all provinces in Kenya. This move was like an eye opener especially to our prisoners who needed/need transformation in their lives more than ever before especially then during the Christmas season and now on. The prisoners were so excited when Family Media crew visited them in different prisons like Langata women prison, Embu main prison, Shimo la Tewa etc .Most of them could not hide their joy as they narrated how they were jailed and how they expect Family TV through it's programming to change their lives completely since most of them are viewed as outcasts in their societies. Hospitals too were more than glad to have the chance of having Family Media satellites and were glad as they watched some real life stories like “God changes people” and they were hopeful that God can heal all diseases.

This year we hope and trust that we will touch more lives through our programming and also physically through your help. We all need hope at some point. Thank you all for all the support and love that you have showed us trough out the years. We pray and hope that this year will be even better as we fulfill our mission which is ‘ to cover the World with the Gospel of Jesus Christ' .
