Coming To A Church Near You
This year TBN Family Media has launched a series of partnership drives. Our Partnership team is going out to local churches and communities making it easier for you to reach us. We are available to help update your contacts for our partner records, renew your partnership, collect your pledge contributions, sign up new partners, hear your testimonies and feedback or answer your queries.
Since the beginning of the year in Nairobi we have been graciously hosted by the congregations of Green Pastures Tabernacle (Ngong Road), World Victory Centre and Deliverance Church, Kasarani. We were also able to visit Eldoret at the end of March where we were hosted by International Vision Centre (Uganda Road).
We welcome invitations from Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu or Nakuru to visit churches or missionaries in the region so do get in touch with our Partnership team via SMS on 2102, landline 4200 000 or partnership@familykenya.com.
April Praise-A-Thon
April 9th to 15th 2007 was Praise-a-thon Week on Family TV. It was 24 hrs of dedicated praise and worship. There were inspiring messages from preachers like, Paula White, Benny Hinn, Mark Chironna, Steve Munsey, Nassir Siddiki, R.W. Shambach and many more. We enjoyed testimonies and updates on TBN’s worldwide efforts from Paul and Jan Crouch, founders of TBN and wonderful music from anointed singers like Judy Jacobs, Donnie McClurkin, Karen Wheaton, Steve Brock, Alvin Slaughter and others.
During this Praise-a-thon Family TV received almost 2000 sms’ and close to 400 telephone calls in both pledges and prayer requests. Quite a few of the people who responded brought in their contributions immediately and many more of are duly honouring the promise you made to our Lord for gifts and offerings this Passover. We have every expectation that 100% of the pledges made can and will be realized.
We pray that God would bless all those who have sowed into TBN Family Media. May he grant you both the financial seed to live up to the pledge as well as an abundant harvest in accordance with the petition you made to Him as you brought that offering.
Election Fever
Since 19th March, Quite Frankly (Mondays 8pm) on Family TV shifted gears to go right into the constituencies in order to get a frank assessment from the constituents themselves about whether or not their MP’s have delivered on the platform of service and development they gave at the 2002 elections. As every Kenyan knows 2007 is the year for General Elections and therefore the year of reckoning for the Politicians.
Instead of having MP’s come into studio to tell us what they’ve done, we’ve decided to ask the people in their constituency to give us their report card and if possible see the achievements with our own eyes. The bottom-line is that it’s me and you, ‘the mwananchi’ who will re-elect MP’s or retire them from Parliament. It is indeed a matter of PERCEPTION, but how an MP is perceived, whether rightly or wrongly, is what will determine how the election will turn out for him/her.
Stay tuned to Family TV to find out how your ‘Mheshimiwa’ fared!
