Coming home from work? You must be exhausted!! Well the new host on 316 Drive Muhiiga Katashaya is here to keep you company through the madness of the evening traffic. Katashaya who is popularly known as “Katamu” or “The Driver” among his peers will make your wait on the jam worth the time.

Katashaya has reloaded 316 Drive to a more interesting and exciting show that will make you laugh all through, he introduced a new segment dubbed “Special Hour Radio Theatre” .This one hour show focuses on all life aspects like relating with people, how you live ETC. The most amazing thing about this special hour is that the message is delivered as a play through radio theatre complete with sound effects.

The play which involves two different characters namely Jonathan (good guy with a sense of life) and Patrick (way ward guy) is divided into three short parts with a lot of sense of humour but also very educative. The 316 Drive show “driver” also gets you the listener to be part of the show by sending in your favourite bible verses including your name and contacts which the host reads out at the end of the show plus great endless music.

The 24 years old presenter has always had a big passion for being on radio since he was a small boy, this led him to joining a drama club in primary school where his teachers discovered his amazing voice and encouraged him to make good use of it and he actually became the head of drama club where he explored his acting talent as well as writing script for the same.

At the age of four Katashaya would stand in front of the mirror and do a mock presentation using a tape recorder. He is really thankful to God for making his childhood dream true. “Being on radio is a dream come true for me. I have been passionate about it since I was four when I would do mock presentations using a tape recorder and a mirror,”

He started as a news anchor on Radio 316 and it has taken God’s hand for him to this far.

“I have always loved being a radio presenter since I was a young kid and the reason why I love it, is that no one sees you as you crack your jokes and make a lot of necessary noise I love what I am doing and I believe the outreach approach of Radio 316 – good music with a good message – is awesome. I’m also excited to use my talent to be relevant in an attractive way,” he says.

Join Muhiiga Katashaya and find out more about him in his exciting and inspiring show, 316 Drive every weekday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Bored driving back home will be history with your new “driver” Stay tuned!!
