The Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards were created in 1969 by the Gospel Music Association to honour the outstanding achievements in Christian music. It has since become one of the world's greatest gospel music events. The awards, which consist of 42 categories, representing a wide variety of musical styles, including metal, pop, rock, rap & hip hop, country, gospel, and praise & worship, are presented annually in Nashville, Tennessee. Each awards show features performances by a number of the industry's newest and most successful artistes. This year's event was held on Sunday, April 25. The awards went to artistes, titles, albums, labels, songwriters, producers, directors, publishers and illustrators.
