God can raise you from nothing to something and vice versa. Stitchie, who originally performed as a secular dancehall reggae singer, was visiting Africa Kenya to be specific for the first time. He was here, not just to entertain, but to give his testimony and reach out to more souls. In 1997, a serious car accident almost took his life. The tragic event had the singer contemplating his mortality and wondering where he would spend eternity.
Family Media was glad to sponsor the event which saw people from all walks of life turn up for the concert. This was one of the biggest performances to be witnessed in the recent past. The event dubbed Love in the Dome' yes that was it! - happened last Sunday at Mavuno Dome. And thanks be to God, despite a few small hitches like power outage, it went on well; the glitch did not stop the man of God, Stitchie from doing what he does best.
Stitchie made the best out off his pioneer visit to Africa ; he held nothing back as he praised the Lord with his thrilling moves and the awesome voice. Stitchie became the first gospel reggae artiste to visit Kenya . Local artistes like DNA who was also a secular singer and Ruff Tone were among the other performers who graced the occasion, all with one goal: reaching the unreached through music.
Family Media is grateful to all the people who won tickets on Radio 316. Thank you for tuning in and coming through. We were overwhelmed by your love. We happened to talk to some of his diehard fans and one excited lady who identified herself as Becky, had this to say: Oh my God! I'm so excited, thanks to Family for giving me free tickets to come see this legendary gospel reggae artiste, Stitchie, live on stage. His exceptional, energetic and electrifying stage performance is off the hook!'
Stitchie has fallen in love with Kenya and he promises to come back very soon maybe as soon as this April bigger, with his whole band and crew. I bless the Lord for making this happen; truly Kenya is a blessed country with so much to thank God for. I am happy to see all these people, not seeing me, but seeing the God in me. Accepting Christ is the best thing that could ever happen to us.
