Ten years ago, in the month of July, we pioneered Christian broadcasting in Kenya by launching the first Christian Radio and T.V stations in the country (Family TV and Family FM). According to Leo, the founder and the vision bearer of Family Media,10 years is a long time and the best way to have the greatest celebration of your life is  by giving your heart to Jesus and asking Him to forgive you all the wrongs you have done and starting a new life. That is the celebration we are looking forward to!!!!!

“Though July 1999 was a great moment, I was wondering how long we would stay on air with a mere KSh30,000 left in our account. But we had a contract with our heavenly father by the authority of His son – “with my authority, take this message of repentance to all the Nations beginning in Jerusalem: “There is forgiveness of sins for all who turn to me.” With this authority from Jesus Himself I was sure that we were going to make it. The response after the first broadcast was not only surprising but also so overwhelming that we were left with no doubt that it was God’s project!

Now, 10 years later, we know more than ever before that Family TV and Radio 316 are God’s venture and His voice over Kenya is needed more than ever! We have been sustained by God’s hand as well as our dedicated partners whose unwavering support over the years has enabled us to tremendously grow in our broadcasting and to extend our reach to the whole of East and Central Africa. I believe Jesus is still sitting at the right hand of His Father, looking upon us in readiness for a comeback to change this tears-and-corruption-filled world into His Kingdom as well as changing our status and transforming us into sons of the King.

We broadcast 24 hours a day on both radio and TV so as to spread the Gospel when there is still time for forgiveness of sins for all who turn to Jesus. We are technically capable of reaching the whole continent of Africa for Jesus within six months, but we are limited by our budget which is not big enough.
