WE GOT THE GROUP VISA….

LET’S PACK OUR LUGGAGES!!!

Isn’t it good news people? We finally got the group visa!!! This means that the trip is happening come next week Friday the 23rd October 2009 God willing.  We made it despite all the huddles in between! However, since we're all originating from different parts of the country, the tickets will be handed out at the airport on day of travel.

We are all required to have cleared the first security check at the entrance latest 2:45pm due to the enormity of the group. This means everyone should have their tickets in hand by 2:30pm. The security check is long and thorough. Hence, the airline has warned that it will not tolerate any lateness or take any responsibility for refusal to check-in, so please do your best to comply.

Please do not attempt any last minute traveling, the airport road is still under some construction and at times it can take as long as 2 to 3 hrs to access the Jomo Kenyatta Airport(JKIA) It is better we turn up earlier and have a beverage or snack as we wait. TBN Family Media will be doing a short clip and people will be picked randomly for short interviews.

Reminders: Carry a jacket or pullover to use in Israel. Pack sneakers and or comfortable sandals to walk in (a lot of walking). Your suitcase should not weigh more than 30 kg. Maximum weight for your carry on bag (hand luggage) is 10kg.Note that Your hand luggage should not contain gels, aerosols, sprays, toothpaste, liquids, metals (e.g. nail cutters, scissors, metal combs, nail files, hair pins, etc) If medication must be taken along in the hand luggage one must have a doctor's prescription and it should be put in a clear (see through) plastic bag.

You are advised to take a swim suit/costume if you intend to take a swim in the lake of Galilee and Dead Sea (the Dead Sea is a must floating experience!) Remember your decent clothing (no vests, sleeveless tops / revealing tops, shorts / short dresses or skirts, etc) for the Synagogue / Wailing Wall visits Take a head scarf or shawl (ladies) - Diesenhaus Tour Company will also provide head caps for all of us
Change enough US Dollars for your pocket money and the standard USD40.00 for tips. Dont forget your insurance cover
