"I joined Family Media as a partner back in September 2000. The thing that really inspired me to assist in this wonderful ministry is the kind of programming. The shows have been of so much help to my life and I thought it was wise for someone else somewhere also to benefit from them. People like us in the rural areas like where I come from -Limuru really love Family media because it makes us connect with other Christians from all over. I so much like Doctors on call because the show is so educative and some of the things we hear on the show are hardly said in hospitals. God changes people is also a very good show because even the less learned people back in the village can understand and be encouraged. Family TV airs most of the real issues happening in our day to day life. All I may say is that God bless you Family for the great work you are doing. Early last year we became part of Family Media by supporting them financially. Family TV especially has been such a blessing to us and our kids. Satellite Beneficiary: Dr. Riara Gichuyia
Though a staunch Christian, Dr. Riara Gichuyia, the Provincial Director of Medical Services in charge of Central Province, had never heard of Family TV. It it's not a wonder then that he had no words to amount to the gratitude to express to Family Media which, through partners, had donated satellite dishes to a number of hospitals in the province. This rare gift was a great surprise to him since it's not often that people make such gestures. When he got the news he discussed it with his panel who, in turn, got very excited anticipating the arrival of the dishes. Dr. Gichuyia is very optimistic that Family Media will change lives of many patients in the hospitals. Moreover, it will offer encouragement by assuring them that after all hope is not lost. I am personally so proud of Family Media and the work its doing, it is so African and am not ashamed when I ask people to support it financially because its ours and be proud of it. I was one time enjoying one of the many great shows and I saw an appeal asking people to contribute. I first gave my life to Jesus back in 1980 but felt that life was not so fun in Christ so I back slide and went down to Mombasa to make money like many of my friends. I really wanted to become filthy rich but every time I did my daily devotions I always felt that God was on my case because all the verses I read were challenging my action for going back to the worldly things. One day I was flipping through T.V channels and saw Family T.V the sermon was really great pastor Chuck Smith made me think twice and in 2007 I rededicated my life to Christ. Family T.V and Radio 316 have been of great encouragement and I got my salvation through this great ministry. We need to support them and bring more lives to Christ as they reach the unreached. “I have partnered with Family Media for two years now. It is my all time favourite T.V station. Between year 2004-2005 I lost both of my parents and my siblings, it was one of those moments when I thought my life was coming to an end I even went for counselling but I realised I never got the healing that Family T.V gave me through encouragements .I had sleepless nights which were made shorter through sermons from the likes of Joel Osteen, TD Jakes and many more .I would love to see more programmes on family issues and the youth even on the Family note for Family Media is our only hope.
