FOCUS ON ISRAEL
WANT TO VISIT THE HOLY LAND OF ISRAEL?
The Holy Land was not clearly defined as it is today
TBN Family Media want to make it a reality for you to visit the Holy Land of Israel in mid October this year. The Holy land which was originally known as the land of Canaan (Genesis 15:18-21) is significant in Christianity mainly because Jesus our saviour was born, crucified, resurrected and also ministered in the cities of this Holy Land .The land faces the entrance of the spiritual world, that sphere of existence that lies beyond the physical world known to us through our senses. This is the key to the land's unique status with regard to prophecy and prayer, and also with regard to the commandmentsContinue reading here......

How Did The Apostles Die? Part VII
An artist's impression of Apostle Paul
Apostle Paul
This series would be incomplete without Paul's (Saul) account given his preeminent role as an apostle and a founder of the Christian Church.
Paul, the apostle also known as Saul, was an aggressive persecutor of the early church. While still a youth in Jerusalem, he became part of the opposition of the newly formed Jerusalem Church. He was an active persecutor of the Church, entering its synagogues and arresting its members including Stephen.. .Continue reading here......

BOOST YOUR PRAYER LIFE
Prayer Journey
Have you ever taken time to evaluate your journey with God? Are you growing in your love relationship with Him? There are ways you can evaluate your spiritual growth. One is to think through your prayer journey. Are you praying more? Because prayer is talking with God, ask yourself if your communication with Him is getting better.
Trust in His Promises Are you trusting God and His promises more than you did twelve months ago? “Up to this time, you have not asked a single thing in my name; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy may be full” (John 16:25).
Ask Specifically
Are you asking for specific things, or do you pray generally? You will recognise when your prayers are answered if you ask specifically. “For God is at work within you, helping you want to obey Him. And do what He wants” (Philippians 2:13).
Intercession
Are you praying for others on a regular basis? “I urge, then first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone” (1Timothy 2:1).
Cultivate a Quiet Heart
Do you have a quiet heart? Panic and peace cannot occupy the same place. “When He gives quietness, who then can make trouble?” (Job 34:29).
Resting, Trusting, Leaning
Do you trust and rest in God, or do you let circumstances determined your feelings? “But I have stilled and quieted my soul...” (Psalm 131:2).
Thankfulness, Praise and Worship
I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High” (Psalm 7:17).
Spiritual Warfare
Do you dress yourself with the armour of God each day? “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against the powers of the dark world and against the forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 5:12).
Pray without Ceasing
Talk to God about everything. “Pray continually” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

FEEDBACK
William Githiga: Family Partner
“As a born-again Christian I take the Great Commission very seriously. I felt the best way to accomplish my part in making disciples of all nations was becoming a Family Partner and assisting Family Media reach millions out there that need to hear the Good News. I have now been supporting Family for 3 years. Family Media came at the right time when many of us were yearning for a Christian station. Programmes aired by Family are a great source of inspiration and teaching. I especially enjoy the preaching programmes and shows on health matters. I would urge people to join us in promoting the Gospel of Christ by becoming Family Partners.”

“My heart has heard you say, ‘Come and talk with me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’” (Psalm 27:8). It is in the heart that we hear God’s invitation, and it’s the heart that responds. The Psalmist knew God had invited him to come and talk with Him. Yet the context is that the Psalmist has not felt God’s presence. The surrounding verses speak of the fear of abandonment. So this is faith speaking, faith originating from the heart’s reception of God’s invitation. Faith believes that God is inviting us to come to Him, and that He will receive us. Talk with God this week in faith, in response to His invitation … whether you feel His presence or not.
ON A LIGHT NOTE
"During a church service a very wealthy man rose to give his testimony. “I’m a millionaire,” he said, “and I attribute it all to God’s rich blessings in my life.
I can still clearly remember the turning point in my faith. I had just earned my first dollar and I went to a church meeting that night. The speaker was a missionary who talked about his work. I knew that I only had a dollar and had to either give it all to God’s work or nothing at all. So I decided to give it all to God. I believe that God blessed that decision, and that is why I am so wealthy today.” As he finished it was clear that everyone had been moved by his story. But, as he took his seat, a frail old lady sitting nearby leaned over and said: “Wonderful story! I dare you to do it again now!”
18 CHARACTERISTICS OF CHRISTIAN LOVE
6. Love is not rude
It is a fact that in Greek the words for grace and for charm are the same. There is a kind of Christianity which takes a delight in being blunt and almost brutal. There is graciousness in Christian love which never forgets that courtesy and tact and politeness are lovely things.
Next week:“Love is not selfseeking.
PARTING SHOT
“The remarkable thing about fearing God is that when you fear God you fear nothing else, whereas if you do not fear God you fear everything else.”
