NAKURU LUNCHEON.
2009 WEEK30
THANK YOU ALL. !!!

sat

IT WAS SUCH A SUCCESS

We at Family Media would like to thank all our Nakuru partners for the overwhelming turn up at the “Family in Action” Luncheon last Saturday at the Midland Restaurant. We could not have made it without your overwhelming support and the number of people who turned up was just amazing.

According to the Family Media C.E.O Leo Slingerland the main aim of having lunch together with you was to interact and also ask you to continue promoting Family Media programmes in your churches, work place and amongst your family members. This helps us achieve our objective of reaching Africa with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We will count on you to keep the gospel fire burning as you encourage more of your friends to watch Family Media programs. Continue reading here

ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION

MAU FOREST MUST NOT DIE!!!!

f

WHO IS TO BLAME?

At creation God put man in charge of the land urging him to conserve and take good care of it and everything that is in or on it.

Genesis 1:28-31 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground. 31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good."

Today man has forgotten the task given to him by God at creation and destroying what God was proud of. Genesis 1:31 “God saw all that He had made, and it was very good."
Take for example the situation in our country Kenya today. Most of us are suffering massively due to man’s carelessness and for not obeying God’s rules at creation. Water has become so scarce despite so many warnings by environment conservers and many more who have always warned us against tree cutting.Continue reading here

CORRUPTION

DO YOU PLAY A ROLE?

f

WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS?

According to a recent report by the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission 80% of Kenyans are corrupt shockingly the same percentage makes the Christian fraternity in Kenya. I pose this question to you: Have you ever at one time given a bribe as a Christian or have you ever condemned the vice?
The word corruption has been like a song on everyone’s mouth. Not leaving out the media which is quiet playing a big role in unveiling some crucial information on the same. The main aim why I though it was important to highlight a little bit on this issue that is affecting us in one way or another ,is because I was looking for some information on corruption reports and www.corruptioninkenya.com blog page caught my eyes. . Family T.V not only cares about you spiritually but also about your personal health by bringing medical professionals on your best T.V station to answer all your medical questions free of charge on air every weekday.
Diseases and sicknesses are the last things that any human being wishes for in life. All these can bring you down financially ,emotionally ,spiritually ,physically , socially etc . Your health matter a lot from the type of food you take , how much you rest and to some extent how you look after your self . The current global warming, poor diet, poor water and sanitation has led to the increase of many diseases and conditions that were rare sometime back. Cancer was one of the rare diseases but look at it now, it is become so common to the old and young alike.Continue reading here

FEEDBACK

f

Nakuru Partner : ISSABELLA NDACHI
“This is my fourth year as a family partner. I was so excited when we received the signal here in Nakuru because I finally found a T.V station that I could identify with as a Christian. The joy that I felt in my heart led to me becoming part of this great station, I remember one day watching Family and the commentator was pleading to the viewers to support them financially by becoming a partner. At that time I did not have enough money but I prayed God to help me and I pledged Kshs.10, 000 through God’s favor I have come this far and will continue till the end. I am always encouraged by the programmes aired Joel Osteen being my favorite. I would request those who are not partners yet to willingly support this great station and help them spread the gospel all over the world”

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THE WEEK

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."

John 14:1-4

ON A LIGHT NOTE

"A Baptist missionary was walking in Africa when he heard the ominous padding of a lion behind him. "Oh Lord," prayed the missionary, "Grant in Thy goodness that the lion walking behind me is a good Christian lion." And then, in the silence that followed, the missionary heard the lion praying too: "Oh Lord," he prayed, "I thank Thee for the food which I am about to receive."

18 CHARACTERISTICS OF CHRISTIAN LOVE

14.Love always hopes

Hope here means to expect to know! Love "knows" that god has everything under his control and rests in that promise. (Psalms 25)
